AID TANZANIA ORGANIZATION PROFILE
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
AID is an abbreviation of ‘’Advocacy Initiative for Development’’ Tanzania. AID Tanzania is a Non-Governmental Organization, membership, non-religious and nonpartisan affiliation registered under NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 (RE 2005) with registration No. 00NGO/R/1926.
AID Tanzania is strongly committed organization to fight against and overcome all sort of violence against women and children, to provide legal aid, legal services and create awareness to marginalized vulnerable groups so as to understand their rights and welfare, and be able to protect themselves against Gender Based Violence. The organization has functional governance structure that include Annual General Meeting consists of all active members, the Board of Directors composed by five members, Secretariat headed by the Executive Director assisted with the Senior team whenever needed. The secretariat is responsible to coordinate day to day affairs and activities of the organization headed by the Executive Director.

To have a society where its citizens can freely exercise their human rights without fear of discrimination and also are able to live a dignified life free from poverty and diseases.
OUR MISSION
To promote human right education and enhance the capabilities of children, youth and women in Tanzania to effect positive social change that would bring about sustainable development in their lives, communities and country as a whole.
